What Should The Groom Wear at a Destination Wedding?
These days the Groom, and other men, at a destination wedding has almost as many options available as the bride. One consideration will be the venue and temperature at your chosen destination, after all a hot and sweaty groom may not be the desired result!
A few ideas for your husband to be would be:
- Stay traditional: the groom and other men in the wedding party could wear a formal suit or evening jacket.
- Modern twist for Summer: a light linen suit in cream, beige, or any other colour to fit with your wedding theme.
- Formal Shorts: keep everyone cool in shorts whether they be linen or chinos. These can be worn with or without waistcoats and ties.
- Kilts: if you are Scottish or have links with Scotland then kilts are a great option.
Whatever outfit you decide upon think about how hot you will be; order two shirts so you can change part way through the day, check your shirt isn’t too see-through and showing more than you want!
Think about how you can Accessorise any outfits to give an overall style, and link in with any colour scheme you have chosen, for your wedding day.
Add a quirky feel with braces and different coloured ties, mix and match long trousers and shorts, allow shirts to be left unbuttoned or untucked. Have a look at our pictures gathered for some inspiration.
